When Jesus comes into our lives He gives us power which outcome is self-control. When Jesus cast out demons from a man he was found 'sitting at Jesus' feet, clothed and in his right mind.' With Jesus, someone with zero self-control has now full self-control. In Eph. 2:1-3 Paul says, 'All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature and following its desires and thoughts." Following our desires also known as 'flesh' ultimately leads us to being captive to them and loosing self control.

Here are the questions we are going to address in this Sabbath sermon:

1. What is the meaning of biblical expression, 'flesh'?
2. What is the 'promise' of 'flesh' to us?
3. What is the goal of flesh?
4. How does 'flesh' accomplish its goal?
5. What is the way out?
