Church pastors and senior elders met for two hours last Tuesday (June 23) after the Board Meeting (Monday, June 24) to grapple with relatively new document relating to the Queensland government guidelines on church gatherings due to Covid 19. We realised that the rules stipulated are varied, detailed and numerous. It goes without saying that we as a local church are under obligation to follow them. However, as leadership team, after looking into them in details we were left wondering if upon detailed implementation of these rules the spirit of church fellowship and worship will be greatly diminished. We felt that it's not up to us as leadership even as a church Board to make a decision which affects the whole body of church. For this reason we invite you to join us to discuss this single question on whether we should be returning to two to three church services from July 11. Please join us in discussing this very important matter and be part of our decision making. See you on Monday at 7pm.
